ISLAND CULTURES
Mr. Eagan Mohamed Badeeu is a Maldivian painter who takes inspiration from the beauty of island sceneries and its people. He wanted to make his passion his career and so he set his sights on creating an illustrated book that he published under the name, Island Cultures.
Mr. Badeeu has expressed that, for a single individual, trying to reach his potential market to get his business off the ground can be quite a difficult task. It requires a lot of time and research to see where he can get his best sales and a substantial amount of money to get his business up and running.
When asked as to what keeps him going when he is dealt a challenging hand in his business venture, he drew inspiration from Sir Richard Branson and one of his quotes and had this to say: Pull quote:
“His biggest motivation is to keep challenging himself. He treats life like one long university education, where he can learn more every day.”
Mr. Badeeu expresses his gratitude to BCC for all the support. His dream is to create a culture of vibrant artists and craftsmen who can sustain their livelihood with their art.
